Last week I had the pleasure of training with Damien Lovegrove – www.lovegroveconsulting.com - on his speedlite mastery course with the lovely Natalia from Gingersnap models – www.gingersnap.co.uk.
I was so excited about the course in the weeks leading up to it, and boy I wasn’t disappointed. I’m so glad that I listened to my good friend and fellow photographer Ian Price – www.ips-photography.co.uk and booked the course.
It’s not cheap at £400+ but well worth every penny. You get invaluable one-to-one time with Damien and learn from his infectious personality and camera knowledge in pursuit of finding the perfect picture!
In the pictures that follow Damien set-up all the lighting scenarios and then I directed my own poses with a little help along the way. Learning new techniques and constantly challenging yourself is critical in my opinion, to keep improving the quality of your pictures. Personally, I learned so much about flash and natural lighting, composition, perspective and the potential of the environment around you, which I can’t wait to try out in both my portrait and wedding photography.
So if you were thinking about a flash course or photography training in general, then I would strongly recommend Lovegrove Consulting. I’ve already ordered all sorts of flashy new kit and I can’t wait to use it. You can find Damien’s write up of the course here.
Enjoy the pictures. All posts and comments welcome!
